Aquis Agios Gordios Hotel - Adults only is an extremely exquisite adults only hotel acquired by Aquis Hotels and Resorts from the Summer 2009 onwards. It is fully reconstructed and renovated in order to achieve 5* standards, and under classification in officially becoming a 5* property in 2009. Holding an ideal location by the best beach in Corfu creates the perfect environment for dreamlike holidays. Situated right above a stunning sandy beach surrounded by green rocky mountains and set amidst lush tropical gardens, the waterfront resort offers divine views of the surrounding sea and mountain scenery while being just 17 km from Corfu airport and Corfu town. It is possibly the most picturesque hotel on the island and the setting has been a long time favourite as a postcard backdrop. The resort boasts a sophisticated ambiance, a large lagoon style swimming pool, a restaurant with a great variety of local and international cuisine including a special Sushi blend, a bar with live music and shows and a wonderful beach bar. Previous guest review. We hadn't intended to stay at this hotel but was let down by another travel agency and found this on the www.adultsonlyholidays.co.uk website. I was very surprised with the Aquis Agios Gordios hotel as I had read a few poor reviews before it became an Aquis Hotel and although I was unsure Stephen said that he had personally stayed at the hotel and found it to be ideal for a peaceful but certainly not boring holiday. Whilst we were there we found the staff were very friendly and welcoming, even the cleaners would greet you as you walked passed. The food was great and the accommodation was incredibly relaxing but the best part for me has to be the dramatic but stunning views. To the left you have stunning and breath taking cliffs which lead down to the clear aqua blue sea and then you have the golden sand beach. The wife was concerned about it being remote and isolated from the major resorts but she soon found that the hotel was a short walk from some shops and bars which made an enjoyable break from the hotel.
